I found this movie a real snore 😴😴😴😴 and so predictable. It's like you know exactly what's going to happen next. From the moment his wife dies, to when he starts dating, to when he sends his daughter to live with his inlaws because he feels incompetent. The whole predictable 'daughter gets hurt falling from a swing while he is out on a date' scene. Which leads to him believing he can not raise his daughter on his own or that it's selfish of him to date at all. Then realizes that all that does not matter, just that he loves her 🙄🙄🙄. Felt like the water down black version of Jersey Girl. Honestly was torture watching this. Most basic unimaginative story line. 👎👎👎👎

I don't understand the high ratings this series received. It's clear from the first episode that all the scenarios is so far fetched. It's understandable that a close knit small town would be heedful with a new doctor in town, but this just irritates me. If the doctor does not allow patients with no medical problems to sit and have tea and biscuits at the surgery the entire town refuses to speak or even serve him at cafe's etc. When does that ever happen? Elaine his new assistant is so incompetent and down right disrespectful but yet the show paints a picture that the doctor is wrong because it's a small and how dare he treat people that way. After firing her which in my opinion was the sane thing to do, he is now the villain. The series depicts this scenario where the doctor must somehow win over a town that is irrational and obviously do not understand how a medical professional works. The whole story line is garbage and just irritates me. I would recommend you don't waste your time on this hack.
