Poirot is terribly portrayed, and the American version is bordering on an amateur dramatic play. American's do not seem to understand the nuances of Poirot or the writing skills of Christie, Our British TV versions of the great Agatha Christne's books follow what she wrote and was conveying her stories far better, and with David Suchet who read her books and studied his part, portrayed Poirot exactly as Agatha Christie intended.
