This movie is everything that fosters hope, faith & perseverance. I cried!!! It reminded me to hold to my convictions no matter what, to never give up. To hold God's word in my heart. Like Kevin( main character) in this life we will have trials & tribulations, but be of good cheer, Jesus has already overcame it(John 16:33) Kevin, didn't have a Bible but he had the word in him. It was never said that this movie would be a "Ten commandments" type. There was creative liberties but the overall theme was like Kevin, we will face hard decisions, we will be tempted, we will lose somethings, but what we lose for Jesus, we gain so much more. We have to stay the course. That's the test, staying faithful when things look bleek. Stay Faithful!!! I wouldn't say its a retelling of Job. It is best described as inspired by the story of Job. There are inspired similarities to Job's lost and his faithfulness. As someone that is very careful about what I come into agreement with, this movie did mot make me feel like God wouldn't be pleased. We need more of God's people in different industries to bring the light in ways that will reach audiences who wouldn't consider God. I hope this encourages people to stand on God's word no matter what. I hope it encourages people to see God's presence in their lives. When you do anything out of the norm, you will have some for you & some against you ( critics). But if God be for you, who can be against you? Who? Thank you Brock Heasley & cast for an incredible story of faith against all odds.
