No attempt to make storytelling sanitized. It was messy, scary, yes disturbing as expected, but more than anything, very honest. Makes sense that it tackled the problems of the disadvantaged and doesn't apologise for it. I guess people who don't want that message will hate this film. I'm just glad DC hasn't been owned by Disney. I'd hate the raw feelings to be removed.
