This game was made by a team of passionate and hardcore OG AC fans who never got a chance to show their true worth until now.
With low budget, tight deadlines(less than 2 year's time), and a Valhalla engine(this game was originally supposed to be a DLC which Bordeaux convinced the higher ups to turn into a mainline game), Ubisoft Bordeaux managed to create the best game of the Origins engine.
For the reasons stated above, Bordeaux has my highest respect which the other teams lost.
Let us start with the important points.
This game is indeed a return to the roots. The story is once again finally focused on the Assassins.
The music is just ohhh, and when the training montage starts, the music just turns ooOOHHHH.
The pace is faster, there is nothing I enjoy more than a short but sweet game. They are the most memorable. If the game is too long, it becomes forgettable. Mirage's story has that sweet spot of just under 20 hours if you do no side activities (very hard to since they are fun).
The combat actually requires skill now. Unfortunately, most modern AC fans are brain-dead so they do not enjoy the non button spamming combat.
Stealth is mandatory. Unfortunately, most modern AC fans are brain-dead so they do not enjoy the tactical approach to the game.
Tools are actually needed now. I can't remember the last assassin's Creed game where I actually needed to use tools. In this game, I constantly run out of ammo because I'm always using them.
Baghdad is MY GOD A BEAUTIFUL PLACE. The world is the best part of the game, you can traverse pretty much the entire city on rooftops without ever touching ground.
If you are an ASSASSIN'S CREED fan and not an "Assassin's Creed" fan, you will most definitely enjoy this.
Trust pretty much no reviewers that are bashing on this game because those people only hopped on the game after the RPG systems were implemented. Their only goal is to make sure this game flops hard enough for Ubisoft to go right back to making low effort soulless cash grab of a game like Odyssey and Valhalla.
P.S. I hope someone creates a mod that increases the sound of the Adhan when you are near a mosque. I love listening to it.
