3/5 Movie Ratings From a hardcore DC fans: It's a good movie (but not perfect) and a major shift from BvS and is going in the right direction for DC Universe. This is where I'm happiest and really wish if DC/WB could cease with Zack Znyder. It's a below par for a $300 + Mn movies with 10+ years in the making. It should have wow us, like when we watched Marvel's Avengers. Anxious to see the Director's cut! GOOD CHARACTER BUILDING: All 3 new character has adequate time for us to see how they struggle with their powers, personal life and eventually saving the world. HUMOUR AND LIGHT MOMENTS: Whedon's Signature: To be honest, without these moments some audience might have left the movies, because when you watch an action movie you expect action most of the time. This movie has about 90% talking about their personal life, struggle, challenges etc.... 8% action scenes and 2% light moments. POOR CREATIVITY ON BACK-STORY, GREEN LANTERNS: Back-Story about Steppenwolf's first battle on earth (1000+ years ago) is like watching Lord of the Rings where Men, Elves fight against Sauron. Green Lantern Crops, Zeus are all present during this battle AND Steppenwolf has to retreat. POOR BATTLE/ACTION SEQUENCE: Only 1 Extras (A family) is shown in the movie and no "people" are actually shown which are save/help by the Heroes.. You will get a glimpse of Superman saving them in a Huge Storey Building (That's it). Not much fight between Superman and Steppenwolf. I was expecting a marvellous fight between them, after all he's the General for Darkseid's army. However, he's used as a punching bag by Superman. POOR VILLAIN MANAGEMENT: For a General in Darkseid's Army, this film does not show any such skillset - planning, calculations, strategy especially when he claims he conquered many worlds. They only show that he's very STRONG and can easily kill everyone EXPECT a Kryptonian!!! CONCLUSION: I'd say the Critics are harsh on this movie as the movie is good to watch; however when you take 10+ years and spend $300 + Mn in making this movie, it's not the result you're expecting... BUT It's an improvement from BvS "Martha" and still need a lot of fine tuning. DC/WB needs to change a lot for future projects.. They need to connect with Movie Goers which Marvel has pioneered decade ago.
