This is one of the best movies I have ever seen simply because of how difficult it is to make a great Zombie movie. A zombie movie is basically a genre at this point and pretty much all Zombie movies are bad ones. I went Into this movie expecting to watch a fun, scary and mostly silly movie. I was so happy to be surprised. This movie succeeded in so many different ways I was just amazed. In many Zombie movies such as World War Z, the star of the show is the Zombies themselves and the characters are just bland. This movie does an incredible job of making you love, respect, and despise the characters. The movie makes you hate a certain character so much that you'll find yourself screaming at the TV when he gets a small victory. The lead actually develops over the course of the movie. There is also the controlling idea of the rich trampling the poor that really drives a lot of the characters in the movie. The movie is less about the people trying to survive Zombies and more about the people fighting one another to stay alive. The movie also does a great job using show not tell, and the movie has a great flow to it that is easy for the reader to follow. It's emotional, it's scary, and it's a real masterpiece of a movie. Definitely the best Zombie movie I have ever seen by far.

Let me just start my saying I have watched many of the greatest shows ever (Lost, Buffy, Friday Night Lights, Currently Breaking Bad), and no show has been as entertaining and interesting for me as this one. I'm also someone who has only watched 4 anime shows so I'm not really part of the anime community. I will say to people who haven't watched It or people who saw season 1 and stopped watching; Season 1 is definitely more fun than it is good. There are quite a few powerful and epic moments but for the most part the execution is pretty poor, the pacing is all over the place and it's a very simple plot about humans fighting giant monsters aka Titans with characters that don't really get developed. However if you decide to continue, and watch season 2, you're probably going to watch the entire show. Season 2 develops the side characters much more and drops some massive bombs and questions that just hook you and makes think twice about what is really going on. After that the show gets absolutely amazing. The rest of the show is high drama, very emotional, you care about the characters and the show becomes very, very complicated. Season 3 is the essence of the entire show, as everything good about the previous seasons (awesome fun action of season 1, and the more character driven aspects of season 2) combined into one, resulting in one of the most epic and gut wrenching battles ever. Then season 4 is so complicated that it seems like a completely different show. Your not even sure who you want to make it out alive. The main character has gone from basic and annoying to being one of the most talked about characters of present day because... well you'll see why. This show is absolutely incredible, I can't wait to watch the ending that will be revealed soon this year. Highly recommend. If you want action, its got it. If you want great complex characters, its got it. If you want plot complexity, its definitely got it. If you want heartbreaking and horrific moments, its got it.

The movie itself was really good and I thought it had amazing and likable characters. The animation was incredible as any movie is from this studio, and I felt like the romance was actually done in a very under the radar way for most of the movie which I think is a good thing. Sophie loves Howl more and more as the movie goes on but its not obvious. It's just through spending time together. One problem I had with this movie are its pacing early on (5 minutes in and the main character is flying with Howl out of nowhere, 10 minutes in a witch comes out of nowhere and the main character is now an old lady. See what I mean). I felt like they could have built up Howl more by elaborating more on what common folk think of Howl, but I also recognize that they also wanted to get to the house as fast as possible to build the family relationship seen at the end. My other problem is the focus of the movie seemed to be a bit shaky. I felt like the War was an unnecessary aspect of the movie and could have just been more about Howl fighting/fleeing the Witch and the sorcerer. I don't think its as good as the masterpiece that is Spirited Away or the simple and heartfelt movie My Neighbor Totoro, but its still another great movie produced by this studio.

Writing a 1 star review to tell all the people who think this is a 1 star that I am praying for you. I'm not even kidding. The fact that you can give such a funny and uplifting show a 1 star review just makes me very, very sad. In a tough world with so much negativity this is literally the perfect feel good show, and yet some are calling it CRINGE. Well I've found what makes me cringe. The word cringe. Have we come to the point in this world where nice acts, an uplifting environment, and a character who is so sweet is considered CRINGE. It's almost as if ya'll have no hope that there is good in the world. I genially am praying for you people cause that is really sad.

The people writing 1 star reviews are either people who go into comedies trying not to laugh (which is why Airplanes ridiculous humor does not have the same effect on them as it does on most), people complaining about it being racist (this one is fair but keep In mind the movie is a comedy, and is all fun and jokes), or people who didn’t realize there was only PG and R ratings back in the day, and showed it to their young kids without knowing this. Don’t go into movies trying to judge them. Go into a comedy ready to laugh, go into Titanic ready to cry, and go into Saw ready to scream. Don’t try to not do it just because you get to tell someone, “oh I wasn’t so scared watching this,” or, “ I didn’t cry watching this.” That just makes you feel like you’ve wasted a chunk of your life.

This movie is a masterpiece. I don't even think it can be based on opinion. Even if you don't like something you cannot deny if it is good. This might be the only Marvel movie that is actually character driven. I mean you obviously have the characters trying to stop a bad guy, but I think it goes deeper than that. Each one of the characters are incredibly different, each one is humorous in different ways, and each one gets an emotional scene where we realize how sad each character is inside. Unlike the Avengers who came together cause they had to (but didn't really like each other, which was entertaining in it's own right), the characters in this movie came together because they needed to for other people, and themselves. They became a family. The movie has a more than solid plot, the best soundtrack of any marvel movie (Iron man is a close second), but it's these characters and character moments that push it over the top. This was a movie that should not have worked, but in my opinion it was the best movie that marvel has made.
