While a perfectly fine way to play Klonoa 1&2, PRS offers an unfortunately unpolished experience of Klonoa 1 and especially Klonoa 2 and especially for the price and being an Anniversary Game. As controversial as the Wii Remake of Door to Phantomile was, at least it had great animations (though there should have been more in cutscenes) and fluid gameplay with only a single technical hiccup from my MANY replays of it. I encountered a glitch in Klonoa 1 PRS in the FIRST LEVEL, and many of Klonoa’s (in-game) animations in Klonoa 2 are very stilted and look unfinished. The lack of any meaningful extras only solidify my feelings of this remaster being lackluster.(and no the $20 DLC doesn’t make it better it honestly kinda makes it worse)
However, if you want to support the series then you have no other choice but to shell out the $40, and I suppose as underwhelming as it is, it could have been much worse.
