No spoilers here The writing and acting are truly terrible. I know the series doesn't have the biggest budget but I simply cannot fathom why more effort was not put into the script and casting. The show runners are neither amateurs nor idiots. I didn't expect another Willow movie but I very much did expect something that would at least try to recreate the magical journey of the film. The humor is childish at best. Worse than the humor in the first Hobbit movie in it's timing and substance. Harsh I know but it's truth. The dramatic scenes are so bland one cannot believe any character has any real depth to them. While it's possible the series will get better I am not confident it will. Historically Disney does not change course. Disappointed because Willow was one of those movies that kinda came out of nowhere and blew me away with it's action, humor and deep emotion. I had high hopes the series would capture some of that. For those that claim the "wokeness" factor either makes it or breaks it for them, I think their minds were made up before the show even aired. It's presence or absence would be irrelevant if the script and cast were anything like the caliber of the film. Sadly, it's as dead as Bavmorda and twice as ugly.
