One of the worst biopic films I’ve seen for many reasons. no character progression, we see clips of Elvis as a child which only last a few seconds then sudden scene changes to something completely different and irrelevant, this happened many times in the film was very frustrating. Elvis character throughout was rushed as important milestone in his life lasted only a few seconds. The film is shot like a trailer, there’s no continuous flow throughout the film its all over the place. Dramatic and glitzy edits make it look cringe and cartoonish. Too many slow motion close ups on Elvis face constantly when there is a scene going on and the camera is on his face for too much of the film, every scene you saw was the same thing. The fact that they played Doja cat remixed on top of another song playing during the film confused me, it was like someone had hijacked the cinema aux and started to play their own music it was terrible. The film tried too hard and is a huge flop, I don’t recommend anyone go and see this film, the storyline could have gone into so much more depth. Elvis eating and drug abuse was non existent or only highlighted once or twice, it was a poor representation of the king. There are so many other problems with this film which you will see if you end up watching it.
