So convalides and slow. At first it pulled me in but after four episodes I was just going through the motions incase it really was gonna pull something great out of the bag. It doesn’t. The ending is annoying.

It’s a story that could have really made an impact. However this production doesn’t. The language despite containing a smattering of Yorkshire dialogue is more Manchester, so not at all how these folk would have actually spoken in the period. The ad libbing smacks of a youth drama production in the local community centre. It’s just not good. Wasted opportunity.
