Surprisingly good version of Alice Walker book. A good watch recommend.

At first glance it seems a mostly benign story line, but a closer look at the story shows a mother who is trying to maintain control as a cop who is following her gut instinct trying to locate the origin of a lost girl who is found near the water, who happens to be an AI, an artificial intelligence entity who reacts and responds as a human (considered a special AI). The threads of the story tends to be easy to follow and it draw one into their world and also shows the interesting new technologies used.
