I’ve never seen the original, but Woo’s stamp is all over this movie, especially in the cinematography. Is it paint by numbers? Yes. But is it entertaining? Also yes! This is an homage to films from yesteryear and I think it’s done quite well! Don’t let critics that look for every minute hole in what they consider “perfection” spoil the fun … Nathalie and Omar are fantastic and it’s such a multi-faceted film!
