The read is captivating. I was really hoping someone in that police department had watched CSI enough to process a murder scene better…but I guess a small town equals ignorant police officers. The attorney got way too involved in the investigation, which if you have ever had an attorney you would know that never happens. I finished this book quickly but I am bothered by the ending. I give it a 3 star because I was entertained for a few days but I feel the author should have put in more effort on providing a realistic timeline and followed through with character establishment. A bit of research on law enforcement and legal process would have been helpful.
