I came into the movie a little too seriously and wasn't initially a fan. But, then I came to realize the subtle humor and tongue in cheek commentary on pop culture and the theme that if I don't see it -- or acknowledge it-- I can will it out of existence despite the grave danger of the situation and became a fan.
