Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Many people who love comics and Marvel movies don't want a gory, bloody, sick horror movie for the latest installment from the franchise. The reviews coming out are pretty bad. It's really down there with Morbius and Eternals. It really should be Rated-R. Marvel paid someone off to get a PG-13 rating. It's definitely not for kids or families. It's a huge shame because I was really looking forward to a good movie for May. I'm a big fan of Marvel - but not this movie. It's been pretty bleak for Marvel lately except for Spiderman. I think when the franchise reaches for "darker" movie themes it's a sign the franchise is going over. Which is a huge bummer. It's easy to do dark, it's hard to be creative, innovative, new and clever.

Watcher beware - this is a really depressing movie… the Sony hand plays greater that the Marvel influences from the previous 2 Spider-man movies. The eye candy and super powers are good and the battle is won, but the enduring relationships are lost. If you want action and “blindly lights” you will like it - but if you loved the character and best friend and his girl friend there is just loss. Why Sony produces this in the middle of COVID I don’t know? To feed people on despair during a time like this seems merely a money grubbing motivation rather that telling stories of hope to help people press on, make the best of their lives and truly care about those around them. I did love the redemptive arc with many of the criminals - that was exceptional!!!
