This movie is all over the place. I’ve seen reviews complaining about it, but little do they know… THAT’S THE POINT. Life itself is all over the place. The teenage daughter is a perfect candidate. She often argues that “nothing (in life) matters.” At first, it means just that, but throughout the movie, the mother gives it a new meaning. While it remains as “nothing matters,” it’s interpreted as (the popular quote,) “don’t just survive, live.” I could write an essay on how well this (at first, seemingly silly) movie portrays the importance of communication, understanding, and acceptance. If you have an open-mind, I recommend this. If you don’t, I’d suggest giving it a shot & maybe learn to not be so harsh on other people because you ‘don’t approve of their life choices.’ I genuinely did not expect to tear up a cascade. If you watch this, don’t go in with the idea that you’re gonna cry, but instead, watch with attentive eyes as if you were artist analizing a painting. 😌
