Amazing!! Tracks the real-life sleuthing it took crack the Maya language - the visually gorgeous system of writing snuffed out by European colonialism. Amongst the many fascinating detectives are an unemployed female architect, a curious Russian WWII soldier poking around the ruins of the Berlin library, and a 9 year old child. At the end of the detective story is this silver lining: Maya language is now being taught to children in Guatemala and Mexico. I will watch this documentary again, and recommend it widely.
