It was clever, but didn't make me laugh. Though given a light spin a lot of the material in the show is pretty cynical and dark. There's a trend towards ending seasons of shows on a really bad note, like that's the only way to make a cliff hanger... Some episodes of Rick and Morty (from which I thought this was some kind of spinoff when I first saw it) leave a sour taste in the mouth but with this show being linear it just left me feeling negative about the season as a whole. Don't get me wrong, there are good elements to the show, but also many things like making fun of mental health, drug abuse, and incredibly dysfunctional and harmful family dynamics which make the show pretty questionable viewing material.... I wouldn't say toxic but there is a level of toxicity that I'd prefer to stay away from.

Idk, the ending is pretty nasty. No character growth, just bitterness and an increased fear to date or meet anyone new. I didn't find myself laughing at all, and instead found many moments of shocked dismay. This movie demonstrates some of the horrible problems that people nowadays trying to date go through. The female lead has such an attack-based humour it just didn't do it for me. It works sometimes with stand-up but it's a bit of an insensitive style of comedy.
