(Please I’m not looking for backlash for my personal review of the game) (I’m not the most detailed writer so bear with me). Overall, I enjoyed it. The game mechanics were smooth the entire way through my play through. Scavenging was weird for me because I liked it for a while, but it became a little tedious. But what’s weird with that is I was always looking because it felt good to do anyways. Stealth was amazing and very tense most of the time. THIS PART IS SPOILER TERRITORY SO BE AWARE :) . To be honest, I expected Joel’s death early on. I promise you I stayed as far away from spoilers and leaks as possible so I can experience it all myself. Getting to the parts with Abby’s days in Seattle was a little boring and stretched out for too long. I thought most characters were pretty great, and most relationships meant something. I felt the ending meant something if you looked into it. She realized that killing Abby wouldn’t get her anywhere. Killing her wasn’t going to bring her back Joel or Jesse. I’m glad she let Abby go. Ellie realized that Abby is human. Anger gets to them, revenge takes over, but in the end they got to live with themselves and face the consequences. The very end was pleasing and saddening to me, as seeing Ellie was left behind, and seeing her leave what’s left of Joel back on the farmhouse. 9/10 for gameplay, 8/10 for story :)
