While a good movie in its own sense, the film should NOT have been advertised as a descendants film. It had a sloppy storyline with okay songs. Descendants: The Rise Of Red is lackluster is every way and was underwhelming. It did not live up to the expectations most fans have with it being a descendants film. If you compare it to the trilogy of amazing movies that came before it is boring in almost every way. However, if you think of it as its own film it’s not too bad in its own respective sense. It has a good cast that occasionally makes up for the confusing storyline. When you compare the songs in this film to the songs of the first 3 films they suck. However, the songs are okay at the best. My favorite would be “Red” because of the upbeat vibes. This film is a watch once and then forget about it. Overall, I enjoyed the film I was just extremely overwhelmed and it might be my nostalgia for the first film when I say this, but this movie is not worth the hour you have to sit through.
