I’ve been to the Annex in Amsterdam, I’ve read the Anne Franks diary, I’ve watched the documentaries and this show (with warning that some locations/events have be altered to fit a more cinematic look) kept true to the core of what happened. I’ve watched this series twice now, it’s unbelievable the horrors that went on during this time and even after seeing the annex and feeling the weight of the history it is still shocking every time. This is an extremely heavy show that reminds us that an ordinary person like you and me can simply turn an a small light in a dark room.
