A pretty good sequel if you ask me, great characters and an interesting murder mystery.
However I do have to take a star off for a few reasons. Spoiler warnings.
So it turned out Emma was an accomplice behind the Truth or Dare game but quite after the first round and smashed her phone with a hammer; she also said that she was her sister, Phoebe well keeping in contact with the mastermind behind the Truth or Dare game. This plot twist I was completely fine with, however it's the final plot twist that's connected to this I felt was completely unnecessary. They a little brother, Owen, found out what was going on by eavesdropping and he's a tech geek. So somehow, despite it it being smashed, he managed to fix the phone and told the guy that he was back in (Keep in mind he didn't bother to not pretend to be Phoebe).
Now I'm no engineer myself, but my dad somewhat is but I don't even he can fix a phone that was, again, smashed with a hammer. After Brandon's death though he quickly ghosted the mastermind but didn't think about his actions in the process. (Neither of them did really). And again, that plot twist just felt unnecessary to me. I feel like it would have been better if say Emma ghosted the Mastermind after Brandon's death.
Another thing I didn't care for was when Phoebe and Knox kissed. There was no real connection between the two of them other than just friends and hating how people were making fun of them because Phoebe had sex and Knox didn't. Unlike, Nate and Bronwyn there really wasn't much buildup throughout the story for the scene when they kissed. Personally I think they would have just been better off as friends.
My final note, is that well there was a mystery behind it gets introduced pretty late within the story and while they are somewhat trying to figure it out it kind of can sometimes feel like that it's being pushed to the side a little.
Do I still recommend this book? Well, yes. Would I rated higher than One of Us is Lying? No. No I would not.
