What is with the incessant music that plays throughout the entire film? It is distracting beyond belief. This could have been another Scorcese classic film but for the damned music. I am at a loss as to what he was thinking or trying to achieve by employing this style of film making. And even worse is the choice of music. It isn't even recognisable hits from the era, but annoying doo wop shoo wop lesser known songs. This was a HUGE dissapointment for this normally Scorcese fan. Do not even get me started on the embarrassing makeup applied to DeNiro in an awful attempt to make him appear younger alongside Pesci. 2 STARS.
