Playing on xbox here. Only reason I give it 4 stars if for some annoying, but not game breaking glitches, and the fact that my xbox series x chugs whenever I look at a fire, and other random frame rate drops I'm hoping will be fixed when they release the free dlc for it later this year.
Other than those minor gripes, this is probably the most grueling, realistic, and compelling survival games I've ever played. Story mode is great, too. And it's all playable in coop which is even better.
Those complaining about not knowing what to do....um, you explore! They did a good job of making quest locations obvious enough that it just took a little exploring to find them. The game also provides you with plenty of ways to fill meters. 2 capybara steaks and a couple pieces of fruit literally fills everything up. When you know basic medicine the only thing that really messes you up is being caught unaware by a predator or tribesmen. Or forgetting to look at your tiredness meter and passing out far from your base, which I've done. Whoops.
At $24.99 I haven't been able to put it down. Best bang for my buck in a long time, in a time where AAA companies are just trying to waste your time doing a pointless laundry list of repetitive tasks, and then turn around and try to sell you cosmetic content in a game you already paid $60 for. (Looking at you, ubisoft. The new EA of gaming).
