This is THE most emotional and beautifully told anime I've ever seen. I literally cannot describe how touching and both equally sad and moving this show was. Not only does it focus on normal human emotions that are already incredibly hard to understand, but it adds in the harsh effects of war into the characters. The growth seen in all the characters, Gilbert, Violet, the lieutenant and even Gilbert's brother. How they're all effected by violet and her new understandings of her emotions. I could watch this 1000 times and never stop crying. It's like I'm relating to the characters or even apart of their lives. The expressions of the characters show so much more emotion than the human face which I love. It also really makes you think about how some of us use the phrase "I love you" so easily and what it truly means. It's life changing, loving someone, truly loving someone.
