This is a great game that I believe is too often unfairly compared to its predecessor "Distance Worlds Universe". Both are excellent games and are completely different games. They seem similar however Distant Worlds 2 is a more modern take on the game. Critics focus on what was not brought forward from the original game into the new game but rarely mention the massive amount of new content added to the game that is not in the original. The game is enjoyably complex, most of the actions in the game are completely automated by default in the beginning. You'll make high level decisions, but the minutiae start out automated allowing you to learn and enjoy the game. As you play is it rolls out a story that is fun to watch play out. Don't the critics sway you, the games is actively being developed and improved and is a blast to play...
