I don't normally leave reviews for novels. But since I did enjoy this book and the author literally asked me to at the end; here we are. I really enjoyed the character perspective from which the story was told. I also appreciated that the author gave us a richly detailed villain (even alluding to the possible reason they were so villainous), without giving them a real voice or an ounce of our pity. The suspense was consistent throughout and intense enough to have me shaking my paperback in anxious anticipation a couple of times. The conclusion was satisfying and although the book itself was a quick read, the story didn't feel rushed.
