Fantastic film, truly epitomises the spirit of mateship, courage, and hardiness which so defines the Australian psyche, all conveyed through the lenses of gritty survival realism. The set pieces are stunning and also hark to the natural beauty of the locations. Its true some of the characters may be considered shallow yet they are functional to the story being told. To those who consider the characters as either moronic, 'too dark' or some of the choices 'sociopathic' then it seems you may have have more in common with them than you would like to believe. As it seems you cannot fathom the circumstances from your mundane, cosmopolitan lifestyle doing nothing more than writing half-witted movie reviews.

A great film by a largely unknown director, it harks back to the classic Romero-esque zombie flicks of the past while still having a few tricks of its own to pull

A sharp, intelligent Sci-fi movie with enough original ideas of it's own to keep the audience on-edge and guessing where it will go next
