I had to turn it off and go online to write this review. This show is so awful it makes my skin crawl. I loved the original books. I loved the (I think Danish) adaptation of the books. But this version is horrible. It looks cheap. Terrible acting. The dialogue doesn't ever come together to anything even remotely resembling a human conversation. The endless sarcasm from the main character is exhausting and completely unconvincing. It worked great in the books where it was far more subtle and infrequent! I also can't understand the casting of the main guy. He can't do that 'tired worn out seen it all' cop at all. He's a good actor but so wrong for this part. So wrong... Never mind that he looks like a mega health, vegan, marathon running, none drinking and smoking individual. But he just does not fit into this slot. That's just the beginning of the s***show. It has the worst 'daytime ITV' vibes. The 'baddies' are hilariously shit. It does live up to one promise. The horror genre, only horrible to watch genre! PS a lot of people disliking all the swearing. I hadn't even noticed😂😅

Watching at home. Lost interest almost immediately and started doing other stuff. But the music. Just relentless annoying. Clubbing and tennis seems a very odd combination and not one that works at all in this film. Every time I went back to look at what was going on someone was making out. There's 3 of them so making out in any combo possible and then repeat I guess. It's so bad I couldn't watch and then when trying not to watch, it was so terrible it kept annoying me. Why. I guess there are people out there who would sit through anything to watch the main character making out with anything... I don't understand what this movie thinks it's doing. Perhaps just trying to cover up the fact that the movie doesn't know either?
