I've seen a lot of new players complaining about being blown up constantly with no real punishments, that kinda true but there is a bounty system you can place on the pilot(s) that killed you but simple truth avoid low and null sec for a least the first 3 or 4 months don't go it alone there are plenty of players willing o help. you also have EVE University which is a new player corp. that was set up specifically to teach new players the game.
