It is ideal to play as single player. It also has a multiplayer mode called battlemode but I personally don't enjoy it as much as the "classical" way, which by the way, can be extremely challenging. The base game lasts several hours to complete, but considering all the times you have to retry an arena before actually succeeding, the total hours exponentially rises. Right now there's only one DLC available which is extremely challenging, and if you had fun with the base game, it's a must this DLC.
