For staters, not a good dialogue written movie. The kid in it is annoying to say the least & the foster mum is intelligent deficient, not credible & not missed after her demise not long into the movie.Only kept watching it because of Sam Neill & that it was critically acclaimed, even though it looked doubtful whether he could save this film from a waste of time, effort & celluloid. And who the hell was Ricky Baker? Guess I lost interest & didn’t care about that. Why Sam Neil’s character ( or anyone one for that matter) tolerated him is anyone’s guess. After still tolerating after 40 minutes, gave up watching it as couldn’t put up with more of the badly written dialogue & that badly acted kid.
