Since everyone here has already talked about performance of main cast, cinematography, action, and emotions. I will talk about subversion beneath all what's appearing on the screen. A possible intent of the film, even if something was left still in terms of conveying it convincingly.
Animal movie is about masculine instincts to see things from deeply ego etched manly lenses... It's about how man want and go lengths to exert control over situations and others around them specially weaker people/ non alphas and are hyper-reactive to power swings, intense in man-explaining and proving their point and how they frequently reduce or recluse themselves to their animal instincts... Giving into the rage and vengeance that builds within.
Ironically not realizing in this high - baring it to level zero - down to survival, hunter instincts... they're themselves far from a control, discipline, structure, harmony and the patience.
The movie I think subverts this man's tendency of violence with one excuse or another in a manner that we are over exposed to it and man's animal psychy so much that it helps us to understand more of how man with their actions can make themselves deaf and other mute...
Sandeep Ready Vanga I assume is smart enough that he tried to convey that emotional depth of men and their turbelance with violence rather discussions... With women they discuss and argue, with men they mostly resort to aggressive or passive aggressive behaviour leading to violence. Very soon women too enter the same zone, once they don't see them as beautiful and something that needs their care. Because their animal instincts say... Anything that doesn't want your care or doesn't want to go by the way you want to conduct life... Is a threat. Is a nuisance. Is something they should do something about it, because what kind of man are they if they don't do anything about what bothers them. This movie showcases this fundamental animalistic behavior via which most of the men still drive themselve. Ironically this is what make them attractive too, which is what makes other to be vary of them too... So from evolutionary perspective it's still giving them some level of success to continue this behaviour.
