I unfortunately dont read much but had a sudden urge during the lockdowns to try the classics. This came up and I purchased it second hand. I read it over approximately a week and found it so extremely difficult to follow. The names are all but identical, the story made no sense and the writing was more airy fairly and magic inclined than I often like. I continued through and I'm so glad I did. I was thoroughly enjoying it by the end and to this day cannot think of a single book film or TV series that has left me feeling so amazed. The final chapter and pages made everything that was previously a jumble fall so elegantly into place and I felt like I understood it. I hope I will have the same feeling again upon a later re-read and would happy place this as one of the best works I have and will likely ever read.
