This was meant to be set in 1890’s Malacca so why have completely inappropriate modern pop music on the sound track ? It didn’t make sense, the scene in first episode where the family is invited to the party practically had disco music playing, the way the characters interacted each other didn’t chime with the times either, the over bright unatmospheric lighting also doesn’t help, we stopped watching after one episode, overall an interesting story massively let down by the production.
