I turned this show on hoping for some decent background noise 4/5 years ago when it aired. I got sucked in when I realized that despite the rocky appearance of the relationship between Jack and his father Michael, they truly loved each other and that they both truly felt grateful for the time they got to spend together. Having finished the final season I can only say that the tenderness the Whitehall family shows to each other is something not only incredibly beautiful and touching but absolutely inspiring. The conversations between Jack and his father made it feel like I was getting to spend time with my late father. I hope everyone sits back and lets this amazing show truly impact them.
