Go with the expectations of what a KJ movie is and you will love it. Its a movie for romantics, people who like to laugh loud and not over analyze everything. If you are any of those you will love it. It seems the era of beautiful big budget films, huge sets, beautiful costumes is rare. Not many directors invest that level of what a large movie requires - Rocky aur Rani captures all of that once again. The star cast is balanced with a number of veteran and new strong characters. Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi and Jaya Bachan are seamless along with Rani's father a role played so charmingly. We laughed a number if times with the script sprinkled with jokes, witty dialogues and yes the stereo typed Delhi characters. Yes am a South Delhi girl and a Punjabi and have no qualms on laughing at all the exaggerated and some very true typecasts. Like I said leave your analysis behind and just enjoy the opulence, romanticism, laughs, dances, songs of the movie. You will love it.
