i was never a big reader. Not because i didn’t like reading books, but rather because i didn’t always have time to spend with my nose buried between pages.
i’m not quite sure what it was that drew me to this book, but something definitely did. just looking at it, filled me with excitement, which proceeded to grow the further i got into the story.
Suddenly, my previously mentioned struggle, of not always having the time to read, completely disappeared. vanished. i am 16, currently starting grade 11 and usually very much an extrovert; if someone had told me that i’d be spending my brakes leaned against a tree, reading a book, i definitely would have laughed at them. i wouldn’t have understood, because no book, has ever gotten me so tangled up in its magical world as "miss peregrines home for peculiar children“ did. i didn’t know the magical feeling of being protected by a bubble of the world that ransom riggs has so wonderfully created and now that i do, i’d never go back.
