This might just be a perfect movie. It is quiet and gentle and absurb and real, and it made me laugh and brought tears to my eyes and made me smile so hard my face hurt. It looks and feels beautiful, and when the characters were wet and cold I felt wet and cold. And when they felt their loneliness ebb, I did too. Tim Key's portrayal of the awkward, lonely and almost stalkerish Charlie was endearingly, and sometimes painfully, honest, and he won me over in the first few scenes. Tom Basden was amazing. And he sang. Proper songs. I can't remember enjoying a movie so much, while dreading the disappointment of a trite, hollywood ending. I am happy to say they nailed the dismount! Would thoroughly recommend.
