Kasey Towles

Lead character is pretty annoying. Tried way to hard on that accent and was abysmal at singing. This was before I learned who the actress was, I had no idea until I looked up the cast. Might have been better with a different person in the role. Would have also been much better if the movie wasn't trying so hard to be some weird musical. I want my 2 1/2hrs of my life back. Would give zero stars if I could.

I adore this movie. Wonderful cast, Brittany Murphy (rip 😔) and Sir Ian McKellen (he is spectacular in any film he is in) are perfect for their character rolls. As we're Nick Nolte, Jessica Lange (love her!), William Hurt, Vera Farmiga, Allen Cumming, and Cynthia Stevenson. The story is bittersweet and enchanting. Even if it is considered an obscure film, it is in one of my top favorite movies.
