There is a sense after watching this show that the strong acting talent is wasted by a long, melodramatic script that poses as a mysterious suspense. The show is neither mysterious nor suspenseful. It is not mysterious-it is absurd. It is not suspenseful-it is boring. The writing of the characters fall flat and seem unrealistic. Zellweger plays a wealthy investor who has no valet service, rides in a tiny private, plane, lives a hermit life, and sleeps in cheap motels fit for dive bars. Ms. Levy plays a scientist named Lisa. She is a gullible scientist with little intellectual curiosity about key characters controlling and manipulating her. For some strange reason her husband offers to have her listen to a voicemail from her lover's ex only to not care at all? This is just one example of how inconsistent and lacking in intelligent these characters are. The oddness of the entire story is that the plot is really a dozen plots that have no unifying theme or purpose that grips the viewer. It is a complete mess. There is no endearing shelf life to this tale. Nothing that resonates.
