Given Sheldon's rather odd (warped) views on the Big bang theory, I don't know why Young Sheldon feels it needs to follow it to a tee. Yes, factual data like George's death need to happen but Sheldon's views on Georgie and Missy might not be as dire as Sheldon thinks. Since he compares everyone by HIS standards, I think maybe Sheldon should mature enough to recognize he might have been wrong. Maybe becoming a father himself might shed a little more light on his family , especially his father
