The first scenes of the seasons 1 and 2 start with finding out a someone died at The White Lotus Resort. Then they rewind one week and the entire series is trying to figure out who is going to die and why. That's it. Unfortunately, the characters aren't that interesting even if well acted. Mainly because the writing isn't that great. Each episode is supposed to reveal a new secret about the characters to build suspense towards the conclusion. But the pacing undermines the attempt to build suspense and the big reveals just aren't that shocking. It's comedy-less comedy, drama-less drama.
