🔺️🔵◻️ *****SPOILERS****** I feel upset it's over, yet utterly fulfilled. Hide and Seek was possibly my favourite Squid Game of all. Leaves your anxiety levels sky rocketing. Start to finish you can't afford to look away. Some very emotional deaths, aswell as sweet content vengeance. I'd have personally chosen Blue Hider! Money is the route of all evil, and we get plenty of malicious behaviour to back that up. Pockets are lined, morals are forgotten, and lives are taken. The ending was a hard hit. Why didn't he press the button before chucking Dad off?? Though a selfless act of good will. Beautiful. I was genuinely hooked. All loose ends tied in nicely to finish, though with the final scene in the US with the slapping game, if there is another season based in other countries, I probably won't be interested. This was my first South Korean series and love everything about it. It should stay within it's origins. Loved the little Thanos scene on the last game too.. 💜 10/10

Psychological horror involving two young Mormon women promoting religion get lured into a fatal domestic trap. Hugh Grant for me was the icing on the cake for this film. I wouldn't have thought of him to take part on this type of genre but he pulled it together with charm and dry wit nicely. The setting was fantastic, a false sense of security. I won't give away too much, but the futher into the rabbit hole the film takes you, the more intriguing it becomes. I enjoyed the depth of religious history, and the raw angle it takes on dissecting religious beliefs with blunt chops. The film didn't need to go overboard on trying to jump scare it's audience every 3 minutes, it built its own original concept progressing slowly with questions, twists and turns keeping the audience on the edge of their seats. The ending was dark, twisted and magnetising, I'd happily watch this again, it's mentally stimulating screenplay alone is enough to have me come back for a secondary helping.

Vampire movie set in past times. A young man with a religious father runs away to play guitar blues music for his two cousins in a bar. I wanted to like this film, but as it progressed into the story it sadly got weaker for me. The first half was great. Lots of structure, great casting with likable characters. Though as it began opening up irrelevant scenes it pulled me away from the horror factor completely. The Irish dance scene breaking into a total random full sing song made it cringy to watch. It didn't fit one bit, aswell as the illusions of future musicians whilst the people in the bar were singing and dancing. It felt like I was watching 3 different films all badly squashed together into one mismatch collage. The ending with the Tommy gun, hand grenade etc in slow motion 90s action movie style.. what the hell am I watching? A horror, cheesy action, historical style movie? Wouldn't watch it again, definitely wouldn't advise it to anybody. With better structure this could have been very good.

2025 Stephen King short story book adaptation movie. Cheesy script full of terrible one liners with cringy punchlines. Lots of CGI death scenes with minimal atmosphere or depth. The story tells of two brothers who obtain a toy monkey (it looks like a large silly teddy/plush), when the key is turned on the wind-up toy somebody dies of an accident. The childhood past section of the film is awful. I felt embarrassed for the director having pre watched his interviews on how good he stated this film would be. The tacky retro style voice over of the adult telling his past on the childhood section made me feel uneasy with how bad it was. As the film continues into adult present life the monkey returns, and the film progresses into a plummet of bad acting, cringing humor and in general poor viewing. I'm a huge horror and Stephen King lover. Having seen most of his book adaptation movies this was easily the worst. Riding the Bullet and Needful Things were disappointing, but compared to this I'd happily rather watch them any day of the year. 2025, a bad start to horror. (If you can class it as a horror).
