After watching the Barbie movie with my five year-old granddaughter, I stated to others exactly what is currently reflected in the reviews, the movie will be polarizing. Either you're going to love it or hate it! Very little in between. Without going into detail, I think that most people will want to see for themselves whether the movie is good or not. I will say that the acting was incredible!! The level of diversity was the best I've seen in a movie where a blonde played the lead role! The beginning and the ending seemed the most controversial, however, the message.....the message exposed stereotypes we see and hear about every day and over time will force the hand of Mattel to change their current product "Barbie" to reflect the current world we live in, now and in the future. I will say after watching the trailers today, I'm glad I watched it, and my granddaughter said "I loved it". Good enough for me!!
