Great story full of symbolism. I've read reviews saying it is repetitive and considering it was first a series of stories, that is to be expected. Hemmingway borrows from several other great writers to capture feelings and emotions that are universal of the human condition. I recognize a lot of my own thoughts as I near the fifty year mark. Definitely worth the investment of time, some of the passages will stay with you for a very long time.
