It's like they wanted to make an ARPG meets Soulslike but failed. The devs idea of making a difficult game is by stat squishing the player.
Also, the loot is absolutely non existent. I'm lvl 56 and have only had 3 amulets drop, all of which were completely useless.
If you want a good arpg play path of exile 1 or diablo 4. Poe 2 is boring and not worth your time.

Company is so greedy. You can't even progress in this game without paying. One of the most important items you need is shards and the chance to get a shard you want is less than 1% and you'll end up needing over 200 shards. So you'll have to open about 20000 packs, which would take years, or buy the shards directly for over $100. And this is just 1 of the specific items you need.

They went above and beyond making the game difficult. Not even in a good mechanical way either, but in a make all the bosses absurdly tanky, have 1 shot mechanics and attack non stop leaving no openings for counter attacks. Definitely not a souls game
