I waited the whole movie for a connection, for chemistry, I felt none. In fact in the last 17min when Captain Wenrworth confessed his love for Anne I was in shock. They never even talked the whole movie like really talk and then at the end they make out and all is well. The letter he wrote was very romantic but considering they never built upon the characters and their relationship it honestly felt very insincere. Do not recommend the movie at all.
