Matthew Evans - Matt Ryan - (John Constantine) Extremely talented Welsh actor/artist from Swansea, classically trained and raised by Steve Evans (dad) Self taught musician, singer, song writer and producer he has worked with the likes of Warner Bros and various artists. Steve is also a very talented painter in his younger days he produced some great works. Maria Evans (mother) Was well versed in the art of dance who ran an extremely successful school in dance, winning numerous awards for the best performing school in Wales (Maria Evans school of dance) So, you can say the love for the arts and a need to perform runs deep through the family history and only then you can get a better understanding of the depth and scope of artistic expression he was blessed with. When he was 10, Ryan appeared as Gavroche in the West End production of Les Misérables. He graduated from the Bristol Old Vic in 2003 and joined the Royal Shakespeare Company in 2004. Considering that this was his first lead role on network television his performance and expression of Constantine is by far a better representation of the character than any other actor to play the role. I think the show was very under promoted and wasn’t easily available to watch on multiple platforms, still the case to this day. It should be made available to a much wider audience and re run to get more exposure and I believe it would be a huge success with potential for a second season at the very least. Anyone know why it wasn’t made available to a wider audience and still has the same issue today, just doesn’t seem to make sens.
